The Gerold Porcelain Company was founded in 1904 and rose to prominence for it's Dresden-style figurines, as well as hand painted household decorative items, until it closed it's doors in 1997. Prior to 1937 it was known as Gerold Porzellan and from 1937-1960 as Gerold & Company.
This adorable figurine, circa early 1950's, portrays a young girl holding a baby with a geese. The colors are a combination of soft variegated blues against the white, high glaze porcelain blank. The oval base measures approximately 3.5" in length and 2" across; the figurine measures 5" in height.
